the culprit that was holding my CD drive hostage has been found - bastard easy cd creator, suck off! it's all about the nero - but, i thought it was free. i guess nothings for free anymore.
a new artist found at SOFA chicago: czeslaw zuber, a polish glass artist. next time i have an extra $20,000 lying around, i'm going to remember this guy - heh! average price at the show was probably in the $30,000 range - pretty pricey stuff.
of course, the show was fantastic, and the chihuly gallery did not disappoint. in fact, i think it was a nice improvement over last year's post-9/11 toned done show. now, if only i could find another $350,000 for a nice wall installation!
yay - i'm back! not that i went anywhere, of course.
updates - the think cafe on western is wonderful! please try this restaurant, we'd like to see it stick around. i'm entertaining an out of town guest this weekend, so lots of fun things to do....
next, we're on our way to the artopolis bakery cafe in greektown, for a lovely lunch - can't wait.
there is a whole bunch of good music tonight, including keller williams and sound tribe sector 9, to name a few. we haven't made any definitive plans yet, but we're going to take it as it comes.
lastly, it that time again - time for SOFA chicago at navy pier. i think we'll try to hit this up tomorrow, as it winds down. need to fit it in after the bears game, though. unless i can't handle the end of the game, which is highly likely. okay, time to motivate & get moving.
the new beck cd, sea change, rules - it's just great. i can't wait for the show on friday.
soulive kicked at the hob last weekend - we rented one of the private boxes (!), such a way to see a show there....no oversold crowds. the band was great, can't wait to see them again.
it's all about the music! i picked up the new jurassic 5 cd/dvd yesterday, power in numbers - i like it, alot. the dvd features are fun; i hope this is becoming a trend.
then tonight, i managed to catch one of the last showings of the world according to john coltrane, at the gene siskel film center. this is a great theater, incredible sound - great documentary. i was in the smaller room, but it was great & i've got to get back for more...
soulive is satuday - yippee! and, beck next week. i am music.
